It is always better to register the institution, otherwise the certificate will not be considered valuable. For a registered entity, registration number of an entity, which will be specified in the letter head, signifies the reliability of the certificate.
What are details that should be mentioned in the certificate
There are no hard and fast rules on this subject. Generally following details shall be included in the certificate
- Name of the institution
- Registration number of the institution
- Serial Number of the certificate
- Address (optional)
- Name of the participant
- Name of the course/training
- Duration/period of the course
- Awards given (in case of coaching)
- Signature of authorized/key persons

Yes, approvals are required for conducting specified courses
All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is the statutory body and a national-level council for technical education, under Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development.
If the institution is offering Technical Programme at Diploma/ Post Graduate Diploma/ Degree/ Post Graduate Degree/ in the specified fields, such firms will require prior approval of AICTE.
AICTE covers areas such as Education, Research, and training in Engineering and Technology, Architecture, Town Planning, Management, Pharmacy, and Applied Arts and Crafts, Hotel Management and Catering Technologies and such other programmes or areas as the Central Government may in consultation with the Council, by notification in the official gazette declare.
