A student can register for ‘Company Secretary’ course conducted by ICSI at any time and from any place. However, eligibility of students for appearing in the exams are determined on the basis of their date of registration.

In the case of foundation program, a student shall take registration prior to eight months of the date of exams. For Executive and Professional programs, students shall get their registration prior to nine months of the date of exams.
Exams are conducted regularly in the months of June and December of every year.

Due date for each levels are as follows

Foundation Program

Due date for appearing in June 2017 exams: – 30.09.2016
Due date for appearing in December 2017 exams:- 31.03.2017

Executive and Professional programs

Due date for appearing in June 2017 exams (all modules):- 31.08.2016
Due date for appearing in June 2017 exams (any one module):- 30.11.2016
Due date for appearing in December 2017 exams (all modules):- 28.02.2017
Due date for appearing in December 2017 exams (any one module):-31.05.2017

For example, if a student wishes to appear for exams of executive program for all modules in June 2017 exams, then (s)he shall register with ICSI on or before 31.08.2016. Similarly if a student wishes to appear in December 2017 exams, the due date of registration shall be 28.02.2017.
